Car Insurance Jaguar (Car Insurance). if an Amp says it is 4-gauge power and ground wiring required , would my 6 gauge wires still work with the amp?if an Amp says it is 4-gauge power and ground wiring required , would my 6 gauge wires still work with the amp? If you want clean and full power flow use the recommended size wire to ground and power your amplifier. When hooking up audio systems thicker wires are better for power flow to your amp and other components. Use what the amp request or u may destroy your audio equipment... thicker is Best! As always, the first thing to come to realize with electricity is respect. With that said, if the Amp calls for 4ga wire, use it. You could get away with 6ga however if you cranked the system up, you could risk electrical fire and equipment loss, or worse. If all you plan to run are low wattage speakers then high amps aren't technically required, in which case I'd call the manufacturer to get their view in the matter. corey is right thicker is better. the bigger the wire is the more juice you can pour into your amp Auto parts : Trailer Jack Caster Acura 1995 . All they would have to do is make an aeroplane in the shape of a car! Even if it has wings it won't matter, it will still be a flying car no? I have never understood that. I mean helicopters exist, they fly, don't they? And they are not as big as a plane, more or less like a car. So why can't someone invent a flying car once and for all? Why is it that difficult? Surely the making of aeroplanes which are so much bigger is more difficult? I would love one day to see cars in the sky! Jaguar . How to Change the Head Lamp on a Chrysler Sebring ConvertibleChanging head lamps in your Chrysler Sebring convertible is inevitable. Halogen capsule bulbs are used on the Sebring that insert inside the head light assembly. Once the bulbs burn out, you have to access them from the engine compartment. The capsules burn brighter, hotter and last longer than the old-fashioned full unit sealed head lamps, but changing them isn't quite as easy. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Slotted screwdriver Ratchet and socket set Replacement head lamp(s) Latex gloves Step by Step : 1 Open the hood to the Sebring convertible ensuring the head lamp switch is in the "Off" position. 2 Remove the two head light assembly retaining screws located at the top of the assembly using a ratchet and suitable socket. 3 Pry the plastic retaining clips away from the head light assembly. If necessary, use a slotted screwdriver for leverage. 4 Wiggle the assembly out of its cavity. It is still retained by guide pins that need to be pried out of position. Be careful not to scratch the lens or paint on the bumper. Also, don't pull too far once the assembly is unseated. Harness wires are still attached to the head lamp sockets behind it. 5 Locate the faulty head lamp from behind the assembly. Turn the base of the socket 1/3 of a turn counterclockwise to dismount it from the assembly and then pull it straight back. 6 Release the wire harness clip locked to the head lamp, remove it then discard. 7 Put on a pair of latex gloves before handling the new head lamp. Human skin oils will create hot spots on the glass bulb and cause premature failure. 8 Attach the new head lamp to the wire harness outlet and then reinsert it into the head light assembly. Align the notches to the grooves, push gently inward and rotate 1/3 turn clockwise to secure the head lamp into place. Test the bulb, before replacing the head light assembly, by reversing the procedure.
Jaguar . How to Get Highway Paint Splatter Off an Automobile FinishOccasionally there will be situations where paint from various sources will splatter on the surface of your car. The paint can come from a spill on the road or from a passing vehicle hauling paint cans. To prevent the paint from damaging the clear coat and paint of the car, it is important to quickly remove the splatter as soon as possible. Difficulty:Moderately Challenging Instructions Things You'll Need Soapy water Clean water Clean, non cotton, clothes 3M Adhesive and Wax Remover Step by Step : 1 Begin by soaking a clean, soft and non-cotton cloth in warm soapy water. Do not use cotton as natural cotton fibers tend to scratch and will often leave swirl marks in the clear coat. 2 Wipe the paint splatter with the soapy water working in small circles to loosen the paint. Wet the cloth periodically to rinse and continue working. 3 Rinse the splattered area with clean water once the paint is removed from the finish of the car and dry with another clean and non-cotton cloth. 4 Use 3M Adhesive and Wax Remover for stubborn dried paint which the soapy water will not remove. Following the manufacturer's directions on the spray can, spray a coating of remover on the splatter. 5 Allow the adhesive remover to work for a minute or so and wipe the paint splatter from the car surface. Rinse with clean water and dry with a non-cotton soft cloth. Tips & Warnings Do not allow the paint splatter to bake and dry in hot sun as permanent damage may result to the clear coat and paint finish. Follow the directions on the 3M Adhesive and Wax Remover can closely. The remover is formulated to be safe on a variety of finishes, including clear coat, rubber and vinyl, however close attention should be paid to the directions. Use the 3M adhesive remover in a well ventilated area, do not breath the fumes, do not get in eyes, wash immediately if contact with skin occurs. Kia Forte. * Checking, \lour Fuel Pump If your engine doesn't seem to be getting enough (or any) fuel, the problem can be caused by many reasons — a blocked fuel line or fuel filter or a faulty fuel pump, fuel injector, or carburetor. Before you allow anyone to talk you into replacing your fuel pump, check it yourself to see whether it really is the culprit. An easy way to do so is to unhook the hose that carries the fuel from the fuel pump to the fuel injectors or carburetor at the end farthest from the pump, and stick it in a clean can. Then, with the emergency brake on and the car in Park or Neutral, have someone use the ignition key to crank the engine while you see whether fuel comes out of the hose. If it does, your fuel pump Jaguar . What could be making the metal to metal contact in front of motor?

Be sure to shut off the engine before the fuel overflows the can, and be careful not to spill the gasoline — it can ignite easily. If your fuel pump does need replacing, a rebuilt one is often as good as a new one, and a lot less expensive. If you're feeling adventurous, some manufactur ers supply rebuild kits. You can take your pump apart with a screwdriver and rebuild it yourself, following the directions on the kit. If that idea doesn't enchant you, ask your service facility to locate and install a rebuilt fuel pump. It should be guaranteed for at least three months. Checking and Servicing \lour PCV Vattfe If your engine has been idling roughly, you may want to check the PCV valve (shown in Figure 13-5) before you make other adjustments. Jaguar . Originally, these fumes were simply dispelled into the air through a tube, because if they were left to accumulate, they would foul the oil in the crankcase. Since the early 1960s, a method called positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) has been in general use. This is much more efficient and desirable: Instead of allowing exhaust fumes to pollute the air, the method reroutes them back to the intake manifold so that they can be reburned in the cylinders along with the rest of the fuel/air mixture. PCV also increases fuel economy, because the engine can run on the fuel in the exhaust fumes as well as on the regular fuel/air mixture. Not every vehicle has a PCV valve, but most do. If yours has one, check the PCV valve every time you do a tune-up to make sure that it isn't clogged with sludge from the contaminants in the exhaust fumes. If it ceases to function, the fuel/air mixture that has been adjusted to take these fumes into consideration will go out of balance, and your vehicle won't operate as efficiently. Most car manufacturers suggest that you clean and replace PCV valves after about 12,000 miles of driving. Locating your PCV VaiVe To locate your PCV valve, use these tips: *-* On fuel-injected engines, the PCV valve may be located in the intake manifold or inside the valve cover (see Figure 13-6).
